Summary:

The Ambulatory Surgery Renovation and Addition consisted of building a new 10,600 square foot addition between the existing hospital and the existing cancer care center and a 9,200 square foot renovation of the existing Day Surgery Area. The project consisted of renovating 3 existing GI Rooms and recovery station, expanding to 24 prep/holding rooms with private bathrooms in each, and a new ambulatory reception room.

In order to renovate the area, the Day Surgery Clinic was relocated to an unoccupied area on the 3rd Floor of St. Michael Hospital. Additionally, since the proposed addition was to be built on the existing Rohr Avenue, major utilities had to be relocated without affecting the operational hospital.
