Summary:

Hunzinger Construction was called upon by Waste Management of North America to build 25 Co-Generation Facilities. The new Co-Generation facilities captured methane gas from the landfill, compressed it, then used it to fuel 3.5Mw gas turbine electric generators.  

Hunzinger constructed the Co-generation facilities throughout Connecticut, Texas, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Florida, New York, New Jersey and Wisconsin.

Garbage Power
Waste Management is converting methane gas from rotting trash into electricity that it sells. The gas powers turbines that produce usable energy.
