Building The Future Together

Hunzinger recently held a Pre-Bid Conference and Walk-through for BP #0, the first bid package for the Milwaukee Bucks Entertainment Block project, at The Bradley Center East Atrium.  Over 60 contractors attended.  Project Executive Jon Jansen shared project details and answered questions.  An addendum is expected soon and details can be found via isqft or by contacting Jon at jjansen@hunzinger.com.

The entertainment block project, spans 4th Street from West Highland Ave. to West Juneau Ave., and is a central element of the master design plan for the new Milwaukee Bucks Arena and surrounding development, and will feature an active space designed for year-round community use featuring a mix of dining, entertainment and retail activations. The block will serve as an important connection between the new arena and existing commercial activity along Old World Third Street. The entertainment block, designed by Gensler and Milwaukee-based Rinka Chung Architecture, also features balconies, terraces and rooftop spaces. Its design touches include exposed steel, aluminum, wood and brick — homages to Milwaukee’s industrial heritage. Deer District, the private developer, plans to begin construction next spring, and open the entertainment center, along with the new arena, in fall 2018.

Hunzinger Construction Company is managing the entertainment block construction. Bid categories for BP #0 include Site Utilities, Earthwork + Site Prep, Misc. Metals + Structural Steel, Concrete – flat work, Site Electric, Landscaping + Irrigation and Carpentry + Site Furnishings
