How We Train the Best
Hunzinger Construction University (HCU) was developed for employees to continually provide growth and learning opportunities. HCU offers cutting-edge subject matter that deals with current construction issues and provides employees with the tools to be as efficient as possible. It may be as simple as a "Lunch & Learn" on the most recent code changes or a class may be conducted by one of our affiliated professionals in risk management, insurance, or construction accounting.

Our "Safety First" attitude is present throughout the company. As The 2008 Safest Contractor in the United States (awarded by the AGC of America) and 12-time First Place Safety Award recipient (AGC of WI), we prove again and again that it is possible to complete a project on time and under budget, but most importantly, accident free. Hunzinger also conducts frequent safety based training through Hunzinger Construction University. Our Safety Incentive Program rewards employees with Hunzi-Bucks for attending all the safety trainings offered by our Safety Department. As a result of our commitment to aggressive safety training, our EMR rating is one of the lowest in the industry.

Hunzinger is a 103 year old, 4th generation, family owned business deeply rooted in tradition. These generations of tradition span all levels of employment from the owners through the craftsman. Many of Hunzinger's employees are second and even third generation employees. This trend has provided Hunzinger with a level of craftsmanship, stability, and employee longevity that creates a positive culture.
Good companies striving for excellence have many examples to point to. Each year at Hunzinger, we search for and celebrate excellence. The search begins with a company wide call for nominations of our co-workers, subcontractors, vendors/suppliers, and clients. We do this at our annual Q3 (Q-cubed) Awards Celebration, named for our 3-point Quality Program at Hunzinger.
