Hunzinger Receives ENR’s Best Project of the Year Award for Milwaukee Art Museum Addition

Hunzinger Construction Company is proud to be the recipient of the Engineering New Record’s (ENR) Annual Best Projects Award in the Cultural/Worship category for its Milwaukee Art Museum Addition and Renovation project.

The ENR Regional Best Projects Awards are a series of special events to celebrate and honor the building teams that created the best projects of 2016 nationwide. These extraordinary projects are selected by juries of local prominent industry professionals recognizing outstanding design and construction in a variety of categories.  Panelists select winning projects on the basis of quality, innovation, safety and the ability of their project teams to overcome unique challenges. In all, projects are honored in categories ranging from Energy and Health Care to Education, Renovation and Transportation.

Hunzinger’s Milwaukee Art Museum Project WCREW Judge’s Choice Impact Award

Hunzinger is so proud to have been part of the Milwaukee Art Museum team and we are so humbled to have received the Wisconsin Commercial Real Estate Women’s (WCREW) Judges’ Choice Impact Award for the construction and design of the Milwaukee Art Museum East Addition and Gallery Renovations.

Founded in 1998, WCREW helps women in all disciplines of the commercial real estate industry achieve success by providing opportunities to learn, lead, network, and do business together.

Hunzinger Builds Award-Winning “Canstruction” Project for Local Charity Using Over 2000 Cans!

We are excited to announce that the ballots have been counted and after a very close race, the People’s Choice Award went to Hunzinger Construction for Bernie’s Chalet! A total of 13,000 cans were delivered to the Jewish Community Pantry as a result of this years’ competition!

Canstruction is an international charity competition that challenges architects, engineers and students to design and build structures made entirely of canned food. Following a public exhibition of the artistic creations and a juried awards ceremony, the food is donated to a local hunger relief organization, in this case the Jewish Community Pantry. The event was sponsored by the Jewish Community Center in partnership with Bayshore Town Center and its philanthropic arm, Olshan Outreach.

Hunzinger Named Among Business Journal Best Places to Work 2016

Hunzinger is proud to announce that we have been named one of the Best Places to Work by the Milwaukee Business Journal.

The newspaper awards businesses that they believe are the best places to work in southeast Wisconsin and the basis for the selection comes directly from submissions from the employees who find their jobs to be the most meaningful and rewarding.

Hunzinger Wins Top Project Award from The Daily Reporter

Hunzinger Construction Company is proud to receive a Top Projects of 2015 Award from The Daily Reporter for the Milwaukee Art Museum project.  Our work on the Milwaukee Art Museum East Addition and Gallery Renovation was truly one of our notable projects from the past year.

The Daily Reporter honored all awardees at their 16th Annual Top Projects awards dinner held May 19, 2016 at the Potawatomi Hotel & Casino where over 750 industry professionals attended. Additionally, profiles of all top projects were featured in a special section of The Daily Reporter.

Hunzinger’s Milwaukee Art Museum East Addition and Gallery Renovation Among Winners of the Business Journal’s Real Estate Awards

Hunzinger Construction Company is proud that one of our notable projects from the past year has been recognized by the Milwaukee Business Journal with a 2016 Real Estate Award.

Hunzinger is a winner for its work as Self-performing Construction Manager for the 17,000 sq. ft. addition and 100,000 sq. ft. renovation of the Milwaukee Art Museum.

‘2015 Green Master’ Awarded to Hunzinger by the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council

Hunzinger Construction Company was recently recognized as a 2015 Green Master by the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council.

The Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council is a network of Wisconsin business and organizations that are interested in, or actively responding to, the challenge of sustainability. Their goal is to establish Wisconsin not only as a destination for “sustainable businesses,” but as a home for businesses from all sectors with an interest in sustainability

The Green Masters Program is a recognition and assessment program for Wisconsin businesses interested in improving their sustainability initiatives. The objective of the Green Masters Program is to provide companies with a benchmark for themselves and the ability to compare their sustainability performance to other companies in their sector. The Program helps distinguish these companies from their peers.

Hunzinger among Biz Journal’s Best Places to Work in 2015

Hunzinger Construction was honored to be ranked among 10 companies in Milwaukee Business Journal’s ‘Best Places to Work in 2015’ in the large businesses category. Through a scoring process based on employees rating their companies on various topics, the Business Journal selected a group of southeastern Wisconsin companies and organizations creating stimulating work environments that increase employee satisfaction and retention.

Companies were rated on topics such as trust in senior leaders, team/manager effectiveness, retention probability, work engagement and feeling valued. In total, 33 winners were selected based on the highest scores in each category.

Hunzinger Honored Among Deloitte Wisconsin 75 with Distinguished Performer Community Award

Hunzinger was thrilled to receive the 2015 Deloitte Wisconsin 75 Distinguished Performer Community Award.

Five Distinguished Performer Awards were presented in the areas of community, entrepreneurship, environment, generations and people. The Distinguished Performer Community Award recognizes Hunzinger’s efforts to give back to the community.

Hunzinger Estimator Brent Arnold Receives 2015 Benjamin E. Nickoll Young Leadership Award

Hunzinger’s Brent Arnold received the Milwaukee Jewish Federation’s Benjamin E. Nickoll Young Leadership Award.

Brent is active on the MJF’s board of directors, participated in their Krakow Shofar Mission and co-chaired the George Weinstein Fellowship. He also co-founded the Jewish Wisconsin Initiative for a Sustainable Environment (J-Wise) and recently served on the steering committee for the 2015 Maccabi Games/.

The Award was established on the occasion of Benjamin E. Nickoll’s 80th birthday, in honor of his lifetime of dedicated service to the community. It is intended to serve as an inspiration to future generations so that others may become aware and emulate the lives of humanitarians. The Nickoll Fund is a permanent endowment within the Jewish Community Foundation.

Hunzinger Construction Company President John Hunzinger received the BizTimes Bravo! Entrepreneur Award from BizTimes Media LLC.

The Bravo! Entrepreneur Awards salute southeastern Wisconsin business leaders for their bold leadership, business growth and innovation.

John was recognized for his vision and leadership in bringing Hunzinger Construction Company to the forefront of the industry in both sustainable building and 3-D modeling technologies.

Hunzinger Construction Company Projects Among the Winners of the Milwaukee Business Journal’s 2015 Real Estate Awards

Hunzinger Construction Company is proud that two of our notable projects from the past year have been recognized by the Milwaukee Business Journal with 2015 Real Estate Awards.

Hunzinger is a winner for its work at the new office space built by Johnson Controls Inc. in a former Sam’s Club on Hawley Road in West Allis.  The property is owned by Renaissance Faire II, LLC and was developed by Van Buren Management, Inc.  Hunzinger was the Construction Manager for this 130,000 square foot interior build out project completed in just 5 months.  Eppstein Uhen Architects, Milwaukee, were the project designers.

Miller Park Chosen as the Sporting News Best Ballpark in the Major Leagues!

Miller Park began the Sporting News MLB Ballpark Bracket competition as the No. 12 seed in the National League. A week later, the Brewers’ stadium has taken the title of Best Ballpark.

Hunzinger Construction Company is very proud of our work with the Milwaukee Brewers at Miller Park.  Hunzinger not only was the lead local contractor on building Miller Park, but we have continued a very successful relationship with the Milwaukee Brewers through the years, recently completing a number of projects for them including working as the general contractor for the T. G. I. Friday’s Front Row Sports Grill at Miller Park complete renovation and update in time for the 2014 Brewer’s season opener.

The Corporate Citizen of the Year Award is given to a for-profit organization in recognition of its impact to a single or multiple nonprofit organizations through financial contributions collective efforts to promote, encourage and organize fundraising efforts and company-sponsored programs and/or events engaging employees to participate in volunteerism.
