Building The Future Together

Hunzinger Construction Company is thrilled that two of our notable projects from the past year were recognized by the Milwaukee Business Journal with a 2018 Real Estate Award.

Milwaukee Electric Tool Company won “Best New Development-Industrial” while the Master Lock Company won “Best Renovation-Industrial.”

A panel of real estate experts judged each nomination. All of the winners were profiled in the Milwaukee Business Journal’s April 13th issue and honored at an awards luncheon held at the Italian Community Center.

The 207,000 sq. ft., two-story Milwaukee Tool office addition was a collaborative effort between the company, the city of Brookfield, Milwaukee 7 and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. (WEDC). The new building features multiple training rooms, conference rooms, private offices, collaboration spaces and open office workstation areas. The design of the building is contemporary with glazing and masonry on the exterior facade. The interior finishes are inherently modern and incorporate elements of Milwaukee Tool’s unique branding and identity. The hand and heavy-duty power tool manufacturer built the, now four-story, office building as part of the $33 million expansion.

The Master Lock Company Headquarter’s new space includes an open floor plan to enhance worker’s views of outside and create more opportunities for collaborative work. There’s also an amphitheater that seats 250 people, updated conference rooms and a refreshed cafeteria all on a 26-acre campus with walking paths.

These awards focus on the best real estate deals and projects completed in 2017 within Milwaukee, Kenosha, Ozaukee, Racine, Walworth, Washington and Waukesha counties.
