Building The Future Together

Hunzinger just completed another new Sendik’s at 701 Meadowbrook Road in Waukesha, serving as General Contractor for this 45,000 SF renovation for a new full service Sendik’s located in a former Sentry Food Store. The new store, designed by Madison Maher Architects, held a ribbon-cutting on June 28th, 10 weeks after the work began. This full service Sendik’s is a very welcome addition to the Meadowbrook Plaza. Additionally, Hunzinger just completed a new 17,000 SF Sendik’s Fresh2GO located at 5101 South 108th Street in Hales Corners, WI. This location will offer deli fresh selections, groceries and gasoline and will be open July 7th.

Hunzinger and Sendik’s are continuing their great working relationship by starting another project together – a small-format store near Marquette University. Hunzinger is serving as general contractor for the new grocery located in an apartment and retail development at the northeast corner of West Wells Street and North 16th Street.

The 4,800 SF store will feature healthy snacks, single-serve meals and Sendik’s signature fresh produce along with Sendik’s Express, the company’s online ordering and curbside pick-up service. The Marquette store will open during the 2017-18 academic year and Sendik’s expects the store to have about 20 employees, including Marquette students. Both projects come on the heels of recently completed stores at The Corners of Brookfield and West Milwaukee.
