As a family-owned company that values secondary education, an employee family scholarship fund was established by Hunzinger Construction that grants scholarships annually to children of employees attending any accredited college, university or trade school. Scholarship applications are reviewed by a five-member committee of Hunzinger employees who make the recommendations. The scholarships were announced at our Annual Q3 Awards Ceremony in November.
We congratulate this year’s scholarship winners Sarah Christenson and Thomas Hollman!
Sarah Christenson the daughter of Hunzinger Superintendent Scott Christensen. Sarah attends UW-Whitewater where she is set to graduate in 2018. Sarah is majoring in Psychology and, despite carrying a full load of classes, manages to find the time to work 30-40 hours per week as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Fairhaven Senior Living facility.
Thomas Hollman is the son of Hunzinger Superintendent Jack Hollman and is attending UW-Madison where he is a junior majoring in Computer Science. Thomas is also a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity.
