Building The Future Together

On August 23rd, Hunzinger employees and their families joined over 2,500 participants on Milwaukee’s lakeshore for the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s Annual Walk/Run for Wishes. Hunzinger Construction Company has been participating in the Annual Walk/Run for wishes for over 10 years and has continuously supported the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Wisconsin as a company through granting wishes and charity jeans day fundraisers. This year’s charity jeans day fundraiser at Hunzinger brought in more than $3,000 to help grant wishes for kids in the Make-A-Wish of Wisconsin program.

The walk/run that began at Milwaukee World Festival was a 3 mile path that brought out a multitude to supporters to help raise awareness and fundraise for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Wisconsin. Celebrating their 30th Birthday, the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Wisconsin raised enough money at this year’s event to support more than 50 wishes for children in Wisconsin living with life threatening medical conditions.

More than 65 wish kids attended this year’s event, including 11 year-old Hailee, a recipient of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Wisconsin’s 5,000th wish. Hunzinger Construction Company and Eppstein Uhen Architects worked with Hailee to help her design a playhouse that would allow her solitude and girl time after her long medical treatments.
