Building The Future Together

Michael Hunzinger first joined the Hunzinger team as an Intern working summers and various breaks from his studies at Colorado State University where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Economics in May 2014. In addition to working at Hunzinger, Michael attended Marine Officer Training throughout his undergraduate studies.

Michael served his 4-year commitment to the Marine Corps as a First Lieutenant and Combat Engineer at the 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion primarily stationed in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

This fall, he completed his service to the Marine Corps with an additional assigned position as the Destructive Weather Officer at Camp Lejeune for the 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion. His new assignment came shortly before Hurricane Florence made landfall in September. Florence, was a powerful and long-lived Category 4 hurricane that was the wettest tropical cyclone ever recorded in the Carolinas. Michael rose to the challenge and was honorable discharged in October.

He collected up his belongings and drove across the county to join the Hunzinger team on 22 October as a project engineer and safety coordinator.  Michael spends his free time hunting, fishing and spending time with friends and family.

We are so proud of Michael’s accomplishments. Michael’s commitment to serving our Country through his Marine Corps service makes all of us proud to know him. We are thrilled to have Michael back with us at Hunzinger.
