Building The Future Together

Hunzinger recently completed work at the new BMO Harris Bradley Center’s Palermo’s Courtside Club located at 1001 North 4th Street in the heart of downtown Milwaukee, WI. Hunzinger Construction Company served as construction manager for this fast-tracked 10,000 square foot extensive high-end renovation that was completed in only 9 weeks.  Eppstein Uhen Architects headquartered in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward served as project designers.

The BMO Harris Bradley Center Club Renovations included selective demolition of the existing furnishings, light fixtures, flooring, and wall finishes. Once Hunzinger crews completed the demolition, they were joined by subcontractors Common Links Construction, LLC, who installed the drywall, Grunau Company, Inc. our fire protection contractor, Hess Sweitzer Painting, LLC, Lemberg Electric Co., Lippert Tile Company, Inc., Milwaukee Plate Glass Co. Inc., Stuck Woodworks, Inc. the millwork supplier and VerHalen, Inc. who was responsible for the installation of the striking slotted wooden ceiling that establishes the design motif and creates a warm and inviting atmosphere for the space.

Hunzinger carpentry crews mounted the new millwork for the Palermo’s serving area and sponsored bar which provided a fresh upscale entertainment experience. All work was completed in a fully occupied space. We scheduled our labor shifts around the schedule of the facility’s fully functioning special events.

“It was an interesting project to be part of because during our 9 week construction schedule we had multiple days that totaled about 3 ½ weeks where our crews could not work. The area had to be cleaned and “event ready” multiple times. Our crews welcomed the challenge and the final result is stunning, recalled Andie Rodenkirch, Hunzinger Project Manager.
