Hunzinger Construction Company has promoted Michael Jahns to Senior Project Manager. Michael joined Hunzinger in May of 2014 right after graduating from UW-Stout with a B.S. in Construction Management and a minor in Business Administration. He began his career as an Assistant Project Manager. Promoted to Project Manager a few years ago, Michael has worked hard and has been extremely busy having recently completed Uline I7 & W8, Commerce III and Commerce IV in Sun Prairie and the Trachte Tenant Build-out and Laird Plastics Tenant Build-out at the development too. He is currently managing the ULINE M6 Expansion underway in Hudson, WI and is part of the management team for WQ the new 1.5 million square foot warehouse that Uline just hired Hunzinger to build. Congrats to Michael! He is great to work with!
Elaina Runingen was also promoted to Project Manager. Elaina has been at Hunzinger coming up on 2 years, having joined the team building Komatsu’s South Harbor Campus in Spring of 2021. Since Komatsu she has been really busy working on multiple Mequon Thiensville School District projects – Wilson Elementary, Donges Bay Elementary, and Lakeshore Middle School. She completed a concrete patio for the City of Waukesha is working on the Oklahoma Pump Station in the City of Milwaukee and is working on multiple projects at Bayshore – the Theater Project and the Building K Office Refresh. She is slated to begin work on Starbuck School for the Racine Unified School District later this month. Elaina graduated in 2017 from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. She carries the Engineer in Training (EIT) certification and is actively involved in the Society of Women Engineers. Congrats on the well-deserved promotion to Project Manager!
Nick Kelly was promoted to Project Manager. It has been a meteoric rise for the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse grad with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and a minor in Spanish. He joined Hunzinger in May 2021 and began working on Mequon Thiensville School District projects – Donges Bay Elementary School, Lakeshore Middle School and Range Line Community Center. He completed a Molson Coors – Beer Garden and is currently working on the Uline M6 Expansion in Hudson, WI. Congrats to Nick we are excited to watch your growth at the blistering pace you have set!
Mario Gonzalez was Promoted to Assistant Project Manager. Mario has been extremely busy since he joined us as a Project Engineer Intern.
He completed his Construction Management degree from Waukesha Area Technical College (He also has a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee) He completed his service in the Air Force National Guard working as a Heavy Equipment Operator and he got married! At Hunzinger he has been mentored by Brent Verhyen where he completed a number of projects including Option Care Health, Here Chicky Chicky at The Corners of Brookfield, The Freight Center at The Corners of Brookfield and US Cellular Madison. He has also managed a number of other projects including work at Ace Stamping Machine Foundation, Accurate Metal Products Door Replacement/Repairs and Door Replacement Lake Country Classical Academy. Great work Mario we see a bright future ahead at Hunzinger!
Reid Somers was Promoted to Assistant Project Manager. Reid joined Hunzinger as a Project Engineer after graduating from UW Stout’s Construction Bachelor’s Degree Program where he graduated with honors. Shortly after hiring Reid, we shipped him off to Wausau to build a Post-Acute Medical Rehabilitation Hospital up there working with the awesome Ken Skowronski and SPM Dan Davies and PX David Tengler. He is learning a ton and earned a promotion to APM. If you want to learn more about Reid check out his “Spotlight” in this month’s The Standard. Congrats!
