Hales Corners Veterans Memorial located at Hales Corners Park near 116th Street and New Berlin Road in Hales Corners, WI. Hunzinger served as general contractor for this labor of love that was designed by Plunkett Raysich Architects of Milwaukee. The project was funded through donations to the not-for-profit Hales Corners Veterans Memorial Committee.

The project is set in a 200 SF plaza and includes concrete pathways leading up to the memorial of five precast pillars, representing each branch of the military.  Measuring nine feet wide at the base and nine inches wide at the top, they form a five-pointed star surrounding a lighted American flag. Along the pathways are decorative engraved bricks, which can be purchased and personalized in support of the memorial and past and present Veterans. A memorial highlight is the engraved granite medallions in support of the Coast Guard, Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines.

“We appreciate all the work that Hunzinger Construction Company did to help make the War Memorial in Hales Corners a reality. They were truly generous with their time and did a great job building the memorial. I highly recommend them and would love to work with them again.”
