BAYSHORE TOWN CENTER

Bayshore Town Center located at 5800 N Bayshore Drive A256 in Glendale, WI is just off Silver Spring Drive and Port Washington Road.  Hunzinger served as design-builder for this massive 47 acre reinvention of Bayshore Mall originally built in 1958.  The 21st century  makeover and creation of the new Bayshore Town Center included the construction of 13 new buildings that were integrated with parts of the renovated structures of the existing mall to create a pedestrian-friendly shopping experience.  The new center includes over 1.1 million square feet of mixed use space that was designed by Development Design Group (DDG) of Baltimore, Maryland and Eppstein Uhen Architects of Milwaukee.

The Town Center project more than doubled the size of the mall and all this extensive renovation and construction took place in an occupied and fully functioning environment.  It was a necessity for shoppers to access the stores that remained open throughout the almost two years of construction. Parking had to be maintained throughout the project as well.  We were able to successfully coordinate this extraordinarily complex, multi-phased project without any loss or interruption to the mall’s businesses.
