Mayfair Mall Parking Deck is located at 2500 N Mayfair Rd, Wauwatosa, WI on the south side of the mall, fronting North Avenue. Hunzinger was hired by General Growth Properties to build a 200,970 SF, three-level, 630 stall, pre-cast parking structure. The architect for the project was Desman Associates of Chicago.

This project had a very challenging time frame. The final drawings and details were behind but the completion date could not change in order to meet the holiday shopping season demand. Upon project commencement, soil bearing capability for the footings and foundations were complete and the erection of the multi-colored and multi-textured pre-cast design began. After decorative tower roofs, railings, glass, elevators, asphalt and signage was complete, occupancy of the parking deck was achieved in only 4 ½ months after we broke ground. The parking deck has three stair towers, two elevators and a back-up generator.

The schedule was everything on this project. We absolutely had to be done in early November for Mayfair’s huge holiday shopping season and we got it done. The front end coordination was key and the constant cooperation and hard work from our subcontractors helped us achieve what many though was impossible, completing a 630 stall parking deck in 4 only months.
