SIGNATURE FLIGHT SUPPORT (Fixed Base Operation MKE)

Signature Flight Support MKE is located at 923 East Layton Avenue in Milwaukee at General Mitchell International Airport. Hunzinger was selected as General Contractor to renovate and build an addition their new facility that would total 14,000 Square Feet upon completion. Durrant Architects were the project designers.

The project included constructing the new hangar that contains a mechanical system, a humidification system, and a make-up air unit and exhaust fan. The Fixed Base Operations area included multiple private offices, pilots lounge, members lounge, vending space, mechanical and janitor rooms, reception area and restrooms with private showers, interior and exterior parking spaces. The hangar included a new concrete apron with a sliding hangar door. The work complied with all TSA and FAA rules and regulations. Hunzinger employees were subject to background checks and were badged in order to work within the gated and restricted areas. This project had very high end finishes and Hunzinger self-performed concrete, masonry and all rough and finish carpentry.
